Anyway, I was doing some…research (aka, browsing online because, let’s be real, who actually goes *to* the store anymore?) and I saw a whole bunch of different Versace perfume sets popping up. Ulta, Amazon, Macy’s, Nordstrom…they’re slingin’ that Versace juice *everywhere*. It’s kinda nuts.
Apparently, Ulta has “Free Shipping Offers & Free Store Pickup Available Same Day” which is, like, actually pretty sweet. I mean, who *doesn’t* love free shipping? And same-day pickup? Okay, that’s tempting. I’m easily swayed by convenience.
Then there’s this “Verse 4-Piece Mini Fragrance Set for Women” thing I saw. Sounds kinda… generic, right? “Refreshing Combinations of Floral, Fruity & Woody Scents?” Uh, okay, so basically *every* perfume ever? The claim about “Natural, Mild & Non-Irritating Ingredients” makes me raise an eyebrow, though. Like, *is* perfume usually super irritating? I mean, I’ve definitely had some that gave me a headache, but I assumed that was just because they smelled like grandma’s closet. Maybe I’m wrong.
And then… *five* mini perfumes? That’s a lot of commitment. What if you only like, say, *two* of them? Are you just stuck with three tiny bottles of perfume you’ll never use? I guess you could give them away. Or, y’know, just let them sit in your bathroom cabinet for the next decade, slowly losing their scent until they smell vaguely of… dust?
The Macy’s thing just talks about “Fragrance Gift Sets for any occasion.” Which is… helpful? I guess? It’s basically saying “We sell perfume. It’s a gift.” Groundbreaking stuff, guys.
Nordstrom’s thrown in the “free samples & free advice” card, which is always a plus. I mean, who doesn’t love free stuff? And honestly, sometimes you *do* need advice. Perfume is hard. There’s, like, a million different scents and they all smell different on different people. It’s a whole science, I swear.
