That’s where the dupes come in, babes. And listen, I’m not usually one for knock-offs – I believe in supporting designers and all that jazz. But sometimes, you just gotta treat yourself, ya know? Especially when the alternative lets you, like, actually eat this month.
Apparently, Anthropologie had this woven bag that was basically a dead ringer for the Bottega Jodie (I think that’s the name? The one with the little knot?). And people *went wild*. I mean, understandably. It was *way* cheaper. I saw it on Insta, and honestly, at first glance, I couldn’t even tell the difference.
Then there’s this ZooLLynn one I saw mentioned…the Woven Padded Cassette Crossbody Bag. Sounds kinda clunky, doesn’t it? But for $44? I mean, come *on*. You could practically buy, like, fifty of those for the price of a Bottega. And it holds a bigger phone! That’s a major win in my book. My phone is basically glued to my hand, so a tiny bag that barely fits my lipstick is just…no.
I’m not gonna lie; I haven’t *actually* seen either of these bags in person yet. I’m mostly going off what I’ve seen online, which, you know, can be deceiving. But the Anthro one apparently went like, *super* fast. Which either means it was amazing, or that everyone else is as broke as I am and just wants to *look* rich. Probably a bit of both, tbh.
The ZoLLynn one… I’m tempted. I mean, forty-four dollars. What’s the worst that could happen? It falls apart after a week? Maybe. But even then, you’d still get a good bag for good price. It’s still less than a fancy coffee date, you know? Plus, if you’re careful, you can probably get a good return on investment, just by taking care of it!
