First off, forget your local mall outpost, okay? We’re talking *flagships*. The one in Tokyo, Ginza, apparently took THREE YEARS to rebuild! Three years! That’s longer than my last relationship. And you know it’s gotta be insane if they’re dedicating that much time to it. I mean, Tokyo’s already full of crazy amazing architecture.
Then there’s the one on Fifth Avenue in NYC. Okay, so the *real* flagship is under renovation, which, BTW, sounds super fancy. But in the meantime, they’ve opened this *temporary* store, which is supposedly the BIGGEST Louis Vuitton store in the entire US. Like, whaaaaat? They call it a “dazzling new storefront,” and, like, you know LV doesn’t do anything halfway.
And get this: they’ve got a freakin’ *café* inside! A Louis Vuitton café! I mean, who even knew that was a thing? Talk about bougie. I’m picturing, like, gold-leaf lattes and little monogrammed macarons. (Ugh, now I want a macaron…) I’m guessing the prices are probably astronomical, but I bet the Instagram opportunities are off the charts.
Honestly, it’s kinda ridiculous, but also kinda awesome. Like, I can’t even afford a keychain, let alone a whole store’s worth of stuff, but I kinda wanna go just to see it. And maybe sneak a macaron. Don’t tell anyone.
Oh, and speaking of ridiculous (in a good way, mostly), the tourist couple gawking at the Fifth Avenue store? Totally me, if I ever manage to afford a trip to New York. I’d be the one pointing and whispering “Wow…” a lot.
Okay, back to the actual point. The biggest Louis Vuitton store! It’s a thing! And it sounds like a whole experience, not just a shopping trip. I’m guessing it’s a strategically placed store to get people excited.
