I was poking around their site the other day (because, let’s be honest, who *doesn’t* love just window shopping for fancy office chairs?), and I saw they’ve got these sales sometimes. Like, up to 30% off! Okay, 30% off a $1500 chair still ain’t pocket change, but it’s a start. They were pushing some of their in-stock stuff, saying it’s ready to ship, so maybe they’re trying to clear inventory or something. Good news for us bargain hunters!
And then there’s the Zeph. That’s the one Studio 7.5 did. Apparently, the idea was to kinda blend that cool mid-century Herman Miller vibe (think Eames, which, BTW, they also had on sale, just sayin’) with the, ya know, actual back support that people need in this century. ‘Cause let’s face it, those old designs look amazing, but sitting in them for 8 hours straight? Ouch. The Zeph is supposed to be their “entry-level” thing, which I *think* means it’s supposed to be less wallet-crushing.
Honestly, though, “entry-level” Herman Miller is still probably going to be pricier than, like, that chair you snagged from Craigslist. But you gotta think about it as an investment, right? Like, your back will thank you. And, okay, maybe your posture will thank you too. I’m still slouching in my ancient, squeaky chair as I type this, so maybe I need to take my own advice, lol.
